Life was born unto us

Eve was the cause of death for human beings. Through her, death came into the world. Mary on the other hand, was the cause of life. Through her, Life was born unto us.

St. Epiphanius of Salamis (315-403 A.D.)

The Holy Spirit dwells in Mary as in His temple

The Eternal Father delights in regarding the Heart of the Blessed Virgin Mary as the masterpiece of His hands. The Son delights in it as the Heart of His Mother, the source from which He received the Blood that redeemed us. The Holy Spirit dwells in Mary as in His temple.

St. John Vianney (1786-1859 A.D.)

"To condescend to the humblest duties, and to devote oneself to the lowliest service is an exercise of humility: for thus one is able to heal the disease of pride and human glory."

- Decretal on Penance (D. II., cap. Si quis semel)
